About the Schemes

Welcome to www.PE-Resources.co.uk, the home of easy to use Schemes of Work for primary PE, developed and published by Rawmarsh Community School A Sports College, through the School Sports Partnership programme.

These Schemes of Work have been written in accordance with the four strands of the National Curriculum and QCA requirements and while they contain easy to use lesson plans to enable you to deliver High Quality physical education lessons, they are also very easy to work with and are designed for non specialists.

Games, Gymnastics and Dance Schemes are currently available, along with an Assessment Recording & Reporting CD rom which enables you to monitor and track your pupils performance.

January 2009 saw the publication of two new schemes, Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA) and Athletics, which completes the range of subjects in the primary curriculum.

Gym, Dance and Games are spilt into two books, one for LF/KS1 and a separate one for KS2, so that the different levels can be used by different teachers at the same time. The Dance Scheme comes complete with the music to teach the lessons, and again if you buy the set of LF/KS1 & KS2 you get 2 cds so that music can be playing in 2 areas simultaneously!

OAA and Athletics are presented as single books which are suitable for use across KS1 and KS2. They can be bought individually or as a set with a discount on the individual price.

Professional Development is available to accompany the Schemes.

The Rawmarsh Schemes of Work are unlike a number of other resources which don't reflect the original National Curriculum and hence don't embody many of the learning outcomes referred to in the new curriculum. The adherance to NC and QCA requirements in the original texts means that the Rawmarsh Schemes can be bought now in full confidence that they will continue to be relevant following proposed changes in 2011.

Changes to primary curriculum are planned to come into effect from September 2011.
Unlike many of the other schemes which are on the market by different authors, this will have absolutely minimum impact on the Rawmarsh School Schemes of Work, and you can continue to buy them with full confidence in their relevance and continued ability to deliver the High Quality of teaching and learning required.

Games is presented as 20 Lesson plans for late Foundation and 24 lesson plans for each year of KS1 in one book, with 24 lesson plans for each year of KS2 in a second book.
